Ground collapse at Moorend Houses, Silkstone Common
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
Progress this week
- There has been no activity on site this week.
- We are continuing to liaise with your appointed engineer and have answered their questions about the weekly monitoring results. We are awaiting replies from our contractor to the questions about the temporary works and we will share the answers when we receive them.
- We completed the weekly survey of the monitoring studs.
- As agreed with residents, there was no onsite meeting this week.
Next week
- It will continue to be quiet next week as there will be no contractors on site until after the revised temporary works plan has been signed off.
- The stud monitoring will take place as usual on Wednesday. The surveyor will continue to access the studs via the rear of the properties.
- As there will be no activity on site this week, we are not planning a drop-in session. However, if residents would like this to happen, please let us know and we will happily arrange this.
Works to the mine shaft
Once the updated design has been signed off, we expect the works to start within 2 weeks.
In the meantime, we are continuing to speak to residents individually about their circumstances and concerns, as well as via the represented contact.
