Subsidence Claimsreports
Subsidence Claims Search
Our Subsidence Claims Search is designed to support both property and land transactions, where a subsidence claim has been highlighted as a risk within an enquiry boundary.
Our unique database has been created using thousands of individual claims, dating back to 1994 when the Coal Authority took over the managing of coal mining related subsidence claims.
The database is updated every 24 hours as new hazards and cases of subsidence are reported.
Why you need it
Our Subsidence Claims Search gives peace of mind to clients purchasing a residential property or a piece of land. It identifies and provides details on subsidence claims within a given boundary, if a property sits within a past coal mining area.

Each report will include information available for the following:
- a detailed breakdown of any claims within the enquiry boundary
- date of claim logged
- confirmation of claim status
- the amount of compensation paid
- any existing stop notices
- the number of claims within 50m of the enquiry boundary
Subsidence Claims 50m Buffer report
