Ground collapse at Moorend Houses, Silkstone Common

 Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Progress this week

• There has been some activity on site this week with our contractor carrying out preparatory work.
• We completed the weekly survey of the monitoring studs.
• As agreed with residents, there was no onsite meeting this week.

Next week

• Our contractor will return to the site on Wednesday 16 October to continue the preparatory work.
• The stud monitoring will take place as usual on Wednesday. The surveyor will continue to access the studs via the rear of the properties.
• There is no residents meeting scheduled for next week.

Works to the mine shaft

We’ll confirm the start date of the works to the mine shaft once the updated temporary works plan have been fully signed off.  

In the meantime, we are continuing to speak to residents individually about their circumstances and concerns, as well as via the represented contact.
