As a valued customer, your confidence in our services is of utmost importance. While there will be some minor adjustments, we are here to address any questions you may have and as such, we have created answers to some common questions you may have around this change.
Service-Related Questions
Will there be any changes to the Coal Authority coal mining reports?
- The name on our coal mining reports will remain the same.
- The Mining Remediation Authority is the trading name of the Coal Authority (‘TCA’) established pursuant to Section 1 of the Coal Industry Act 1994, of 200 Lichfield Lane, Berry Hill, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG18 4RG. The Coal Authority remains the legal name of the Authority.
- Our email address has changed to customerservice@miningremediation.gov.uk but any emails sent to customerservice@coal.gov.uk will still reach us, we understand you may need some time to update your systems.
- All our social media handles within our reports will be updated to reflect our new name, the Mining Remediation Authority.
- For Coal Mining Risk Assessments our email address has changed to cmra@miningremediation.gov.uk but any emails sent to cmra@coal.gov.uk will still reach us, we understand you may need some time to update your systems.
- Our Coal Mining Risk Assessments will be branded ‘The Coal Authority, provided by the Mining Remediation Authority’. All other coal mining reports remain the same.
How will the name change affect my coal mining report and any existing ones I have ordered?
- The change will not affect you or the services we provide. Our coal mining reports are legal documents and can be relied upon with 100% confidence.
How will the name change affect the turnaround time for report requests?
- There will be no impact to our service levels. We pride ourselves on delivering a quality service for our customer. Our current turnaround time is 99.7% of reports delivered within 1 day and in the majority within minutes.
Website and Online Services
Will the website address be changing when I order a coal mining report?
- No, our current website remains the same www2.groundstability.com
How will the website be updated to reflect the new name?
- You will notice the name has changed to the Mining Remediation Authority
Will my login credentials remain the same for ordering a coal mining report?
- Yes, your login credentials will remain the same.
Will there be any downtime or interruptions to the website during the transition?
- No downtime is scheduled. You will continue to have uninterrupted access.
I have your company logo on my website. Will you be issuing a new updated version?
- We will provide you with our new updated logo if required. If you have a Client Relationship Manager, they will be in touch to ensure you have everything you need.
Will the Terms and Conditions be changing for my coal mining report or my Coal Mining Risk Assessments?
- No, everything is staying the same.
Will this change affect the way I pay for my coal mining reports & Coal Mining Risk Assessments?
- No, our bank account details will remain the same.
How will this change affect social media and communications I’m already signed up for?
- Our social media channels will be updated on November 28th to reflect our name change to the Mining Remediation Authority. If you are already following us you do not need to do anything. You will also still receive our monthly communications as normal however from our updated email address, customerservice@miningremediation.gov.uk
