Moor End Lane update: 24 January 2025
Information for residents
Ground collapse at Moorend Houses, Silkstone Common
Thank you for your continued patience.
Progress this week
- We reinstated the fence lines and have prepared the track behind numbers 7, 8 and 9, ready for the concreting works to commence next week.
- The weekly stud monitoring took place.
- As agreed with residents, there was no onsite meeting this week.
Next week
- We plan to concrete the track behind numbers 7, 8 and 9 on Tuesday. A cement truck will therefore be on site, and we recommend residents avoid the area outside the back of the properties during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
- We will also start preparing to restore the remaining driveways and track behind the houses.
- The stud monitoring will take place as usual on Wednesday. The surveyor will continue to access the studs via the rear of the properties.
- We will continue to speak to residents individually about their circumstances and concerns, as well as via the represented contact.
General update
- Residents have asked about our plans for the temporary car park. We can confirm that we will reinstate the field to pasture.
- Concerns have been raised about the condition of the track leading from the equestrian centre to the properties. Once the works are complete, we will review our pre-works surveys to identify any damage, and will repair the track as appropriate.
Next update:
We will provide a further update on Friday 31 January.
