Solvay Banks update: August 2024
This update provides more information about the mine shaft collapse on Solvay Banks Park.
Our contractors, Soil Engineering have started carrying out the drilling and grouting work for us. We hope that this will be completed by the end of August.
Once we have completed the drilling and grouting works, we will carry out tests on the boreholes to confirm the fill and grout is within the shaft area. Once we have confirmed this, the treatment will be complete.
After this, we will reinstate the area to its former playing field condition and leave site.
