Moor End Lane update: 17 January 2025

Information for residents

Ground collapse at Moorend Houses, Silkstone Common

Thank you for your continued patience.

Progress this week

  • Due to the weather conditions, we were unable to be on site at the beginning of the week. We assessed the site conditions again on Wednesday, and returned to work then. We’ve started to reinstate fence lines and to return services to affected gardens.
  • The weekly stud monitoring took place on Tuesday.
  • As agreed with residents, there was no onsite meeting this week.

Next week

  • We plan to continue work on reinstating driveways and the section of track behind properties 7, 8 and 9. We have contacted residents individually to discuss our plans for this work and to agree the materials that will be used. A cement truck may be on site this week and we would recommend residents avoid the area outside the back of the properties during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • The stud monitoring will take place as usual on Wednesday. The surveyor will continue to access the studs via the rear of the properties.
  • We will continue to speak to residents individually about their circumstances and concerns, as well as via the represented contact.

Next update:

We will provide a further update on Friday 24 January.
