Who are HM Land Registry?

HM Land Registry is transforming Local Land Charges (LLC) searches by consolidating local authority registers into a single centralised digital service. This online service eliminates local variations in price, speed and format for LLC service users and provides a standardised service across England and Wales.

The service is now live with 78 local authorities’ local land charges data, with many more still to come.

This ambitious step forward furthers the Government’s commitment to make the home buying process simpler, faster and cheaper. It is also an important part of our Business Strategy to improve the entire conveyancing process.
