Moor End Lane update: 31 January 2025

Information for residents

Ground collapse at Moorend Houses, Silkstone Common

Thank you for your continued patience.

Progress this week

  • We have completed the track concreting works behind numbers 7, 8 and 9 and have restored the driveways.
  • The weekly stud monitoring took place on Wednesday
  • As agreed with residents, there was no onsite meeting this week.

Next week

  • We plan to concrete the track behind number 4 and the driveway of Hartford Cottage. A cement truck will therefore be on site again, and we recommend residents avoid the area outside the back of the properties during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • The stud monitoring will take place as usual on Wednesday. The surveyor will continue to access the studs via the rear of the properties.
  • We will continue to speak to residents individually about their circumstances and concerns, as well as via the represented contact.

General update

  • Phil will be on leave next week, but has provided the represented contact with alternative contact details in case of any issues.

Next update

We know how important it is to keep residents informed on the activity and progress being made at Moorend Houses, but want to ensure these updates remain relevant.  As we have reached the final stages of our work, we will now issue updates fortnightly, rather than weekly, reflecting the reduction in areas to report on. Our next briefing will be on Friday 14 February.
