Camberwell Drive update: 24 September 2024

This briefing contains the latest update for residents. Previous briefings, FAQs and wider information are available here.

Utility services

Investigations to establish the location of utility services along Camberwell Drive will start on Monday 30 September. This work will be contained to the footpath between properties 109 and 111 on Camberwell drive and will be completed by Monday 7 October.  During this time this section of footpath will be temporarily diverted.

Temporary car park

As mentioned in our public meeting on 5 September, work to install the temporary car park to the land between 109 and 111 Camberwell Drive will commence on Monday 7 October. This land is owned by Tameside Council and we are finalising a formal lease with them to complete this work. Whilst the main foundations of the car park will be complete by 18 October, the final tarmac will not be laid until the main drilling and grouting works commence in November once the car park is open to residents. Temporary traffic management will be in place during these works and we will advise residents when these will be in place.

We will continue to send regular briefings directly to affected residents via email and publish them on our website.
