Camberwell Drive update: 26 September 2025

We would like to thank you for your patience as we continue our works to remediate the mine shaft at Camberwell Drive. We can confirm that all utility services have now been successfully diverted and the temporary car park is now in place for those residents directly impacted.

Compound preparation

Work is progressing well with the compound area in the green space behind 95 to 109 Camberwell Drive. Next week work will commence for the installation of the track leading from Springwood Way to the compound area and installation of the welfare facilities. We appreciate that these works will cause some noise and disturbance for residents, and we will work to minimise this as much as possible. Our working hours will remain Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.

Public meeting

We would like to invite all residents to attend a public meeting, where we will provide an update on the main treatment works and share further details about our planned works. This is an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and stay informed about the next phase of the project.

Please see details of the date and venue below:

Date: Wednesday 15 October 2025

Time: 6pm

Venue: The Village Hotel, Pamir Drive, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 0LY
